True, not ironic. I understand where your coming from though. Witty is a place for laughter, making friends, and to be a place where we can relieve our worries after a horrible day. Not to see the top quotes filled with 'OMFG I LOVE One Direction!'

Well I'd never favorite a quote about cutting or suicide. 99% of them look fake to me. But if they don't look fake, I'd give them support. Fave-ing a quote is encouraging self mutilation almost. I'm with PaperLung 100%.

It's not ironic. To me fave-ing a quote about suicide or cutting is considered boosting what they are doing to themselves. It's better to put some effort in caring and leave them some helpful words.
