My hands rest on the crown of my head I think in remorse of our

My hands rest on the crown of my head
I think in remorse of our bond, now a tattered thread
The pain I hide is engulfing my soul
I hide it from you with my cheerful facade
While now in my heart a gaping hole

Anything we once had has gone up in a fiery flame
Just like always I take all the blame
You are oblivious to my pain
Do you really not see what you have done
If I don't escape, not much longer will I stay sane

You still shine bright, while I'm off to the side out of sight
I forever continue to try to take flight
It seems impossible for you to have a flaw
Yet you are unable to stop us from falling apart
This one fact keeps me in awe

My heart forever continues to break
There is no longer time to fix that one grave mistake
The last grains of sand in the hourglass begin to land
Will you realize and turn it again?
Not fast enough, for there goes the final grain of sand

My hands rest on the crown of my head
I think in remorse of our bond, now a tattered thread
The pain I hide is engulfing my soul
I hide it from you with my cheerful facade
While now in my heart a gaping hole
