Chapter 40 Part 1
 
Things were different to say the least, Zac followed me around all day and he wasn’t that bad. I had to remind myself several times that this guy ripped out my heart and tore it to pieces, twice.
I hadn’t seen Avery since lunch, and not for the lack of trying, I tried looking for him everywhere but he didn’t turn up.
Sighing I sat down in my last period class with Zac sitting right next to me.
“What class is this?” He asked looking around.
“Geography.” I rolled my eyes as I too looked around the room. There were maps of the world and smaller countries, what did he think it was?
“Mmm...” He thought smirking a little, “That explains so much.”
“Yeah cause we use maps for math.”
“How would I know, this is a new school they might do things different here.” he defended himself.
I didn’t answer, I didn’t really know what to say to that.
I shrugged and waited for the teacher to show up.
Finally after fifty agonizing minutes of geo, it was time to leave. I smiled to myself, now I could go search for Avery without skipping school or anything.
“Hey, where are you going?” Zac asked as I walked down the hallway. I turned around surprised, why is he still following me?
“I’m going home and why are you still following me?” I asked as he made his way to me.
“Oh, you live with your brother right? I could walk you, if you want.”
I stared at him was he seriously asking to walk me home? Why can’t he just leave me alone? I blushed involuntarily and shook my head “no thanks.”
“Come on Val, I just want to walk you home.” He pleaded placing his hands on my shoulders again and I blushed even more. Argh make it stop, I complained in my head.
“I thought I told you not to touch me.” I told him turning to face him my eyes burning.
He instantly took his hands off me and held them up in surrender. “Sorry.”
I smirked slightly, “I don’t need you to walk me home.” I told him quickly before turning on my heel and walking away to continue my search for Avery.
