C h a p t e r  5       

JD'S POV

When I got into the main lobby, Nurse R. and Emi's mom were walking into the office. "Are you JD? I'm Megan Lawrence, Emi's mom," she said. I hung my head. "I'm sorry about what happened. It was my fault. I..I feel horrible," I whispered, barely audible. She gave me a sad smile then went into the office. I slowly walked upstairs to my locker, grabbed my things, and started walking home. I really screwed up this time.

EMI'S POV

"Emi. Emi, wake up baby girl. Come on. Wake up," someone whispered. They were inches from my face, I could feel it. Whoever it was, their minty fresh breathe warmed my face. "Em, kiddo, can you hear me?" the voice whispered again. I moaned in response. It sounded like my mom. "Mommy?" I asked, my voice sounding childish. "Are you okay hun? How do you feel? Where does it hurt?" she asked, relief and concern filing it's way into her calm, secure voice. "My ankle. Thassall" my words came out tired and slurred. I tried sitting up, and the room began spinning. "Emi," Nurse Robose started, sounding concerned, "will you do something for me? It's simple and doesn't involve much movement." "Uhmokay Iguessssss." I slurred my words again, and held out the s too long. God, I sounded drunk! "Thankyou. Extend your arms to either side of you, please," she asked. I obeyed. Next she had me touch the tip of my nose with each hand. Then I had to line my teeth together and smile, and she checked my eyes. She took my vitals, and looked up. "She doesn't seem to have a concussion or anything. Maybe she's just tired," she concluded. I interjected that I was, in fact, completely exhausted. "Well, I better get you to the doctors and get that ankle checked," my mom said after a long silence, in which both of them were staring at me, confused and concerned, the emotions written clearly in their eyes. It's amazing how much you can tell about someones feelings through their eyes.

So I've come to a decision about the chapter songs. I'm only going to add them if it really really really matches and intesifies the chapter. Certain chapters just don't have a song that'll work with them. Thanks to anyone who reads this crud-hole story. Haha. Feedback(comments/faves) are super greatly totally appreciated. Thanks guys.
Oh and BTW! on the feedback topic, I'd REALLY like comments about things you guys like/don't like/suggestions and stuff like that cuz I really wanna know if a) anyone's reading this and  b) they like it or not(and if not what I can do to fix it) THANKS!
