Crystal's Point of View
I sat in the back of Ms. Welsh's science room, day dreaming, as always..What was she even talking about? Who knows? Who cares. I looked around the room at the rest of my classmates. Jock, jock, cheerleader, athlete of some sort, jock, jock, athlete, popular, popular, model, school b'itch, player, and player..Who couldn't just one person in this class be of the normal type? "Alright class! Time to pick partner's for your science labs. Groups of two only, please!" Ms. Welsh said in her sing-songy voice. At once everyone in the class jumped up, searching the room for their partners. I saw in my seat, doodling in my notebook as I always did.
"Ohh! Jake doesn't have a partner!" the school b'itch cried in her annoying, almost too perky voice. *Oh, I guess I should tell you her name now..It's Alexandra. Alex for short. It perfectly fit her. perfectly.*
"Awwe poor baby!" one of the Alex's close friends, Casey yelled batting her eyes at him.
"Jake. You'll have to work with Ms..." Ms. Welsh looked down at her clipboard to find my name on the seating chart. Half way through the year, and yet she still doesn't know my name, but than again, who does?
"Ah! Here we are! Jake, you'll be working with Ms. Andrews! Crystal Andrews? Are you here?"
I sat up in my chair and dropped my pencil, closing my notebook in the same motion. "I'm here Ms. Welsh." I said softly, never making any eye contact.
"Ahh! Yes! Ok, Jake there's your partner, you may begin the lab now." She said walking back to her desk and flipping her hair. Wow...even the teachers here were pretty stuck up.
Jake walked over and sat down at the chair next to me. "Hi, I'm Jake." he said flashing me a small grin.
"I know." I said flattly. "We've been going to the same school since the second grade."
"Oh! Right!" he said flipping his hair away from his eyes. He turned around and stared at Alex. It was almost repulsive, the way any guy looked at Alex. You think by now they'd realize she's as fake as Ms. Welsh's boobs. I smiled to myself. Haha. I'm funny, I thought to myself.
"So, should we start this, uh, lab, right?" Jake said still staring at Alex.
I rolled my eyes, even though he couldn't see, "Sure..Why not..." I said flattly, again. "And I'm guessing by we, you mean me..." I said under my breath as I started taking down the lab instructions.
