im just taking a guess that you're more interested in metal/punk/metalcore/death
metal. thats fine, but these average people you're talking about are mostly 12 year olds. the whole nicki minaj thing is actually very incorrect if you actually read some lyrics they have meaning and there is plenty of songs that dont have to do with any of that. its ignorance like this that creates a bad name for the genre. read up before making ignorant/ unintelligent chirps. if you can actually create an opinion based on true facts about the genre that you may like or dislike and actually get a valid point across then yes you have every right to do so all i was saying dont hate randomly with stupid reasons.
lastly, you cant hate a genre. unless you've heard every single song that falls under said genre. more than likely somewhere down the road you'll find a rap song you like. this quote is based on the garbage that the radio feeds. look into underground non-mainstream rap that makes america look like we have zero intelligence. i could just as easy say "i hate acoustic music because of CatchingYourClouds and Nevershoutnever.' but I know that they arent the only 2 in the genre.
riight...i still listen to these songs while my little sisters and cousins are sitting there listening to that craxp and my mom yells at me to turn it down when those little kids are in front of her eyes listening to that wow its gotten so screwed up...
