Tell No Secrets. Chapter five. The sun was shining through the

The sun was shining through the spaces in the blinds, i had fell asleep just after finishing my crisps last night. Casper was already up and had had a glass of milk and a breakfast bar and then went to have wash his face as it was filthy with mud, cuts and bruises after mothers repeted beatings.I got breakfast too and washed my face that looked the same as Caspers but with deeper cuts and some extra bruises. Alex ,the man we were staying with approached our room with an upset face 'Sorry Kids but i have just been fired, I need to move to Australia for a new job and shall be livin' there for more than a year. You will need to find your own place unfortunatly.' I burst into tears thinking that it would be a repeat of yesterday. Alex said 'You know what Saffron, i will give you an old mobile of mine just so you can contact me or the police if there is an emergency, but no one else, do not be texting a random person.' I said thankyou kindly for letting us stay and for the phone and took Caspers hand and headed for the door. We were wandering for a while later until i recieved a text message on this phone Alex gave to me-

'my deepest apologies for leaving you both kiddo. Ill be here to text but just remember in a few hours time i can not just come back in a few minutes  and take care for you again , i will be miles away from you.Keep yourself out of trouble Saffron and keep Casper safe for me. Thankyou- Alex.'
 
i could not understand how to reply to the text but i managed a while later and texted back -

'thank you Alex for being there for me and Casper, i will keep both of us safe and out of trouble.You have been such a kind man to us and we really appreciate it, thanks again- Saffron.'

I was now starving as 4-5 hours past and went to the little shop again to buy some snacks 'Casper you stay out here, ill be back in one sec, just stand by that wall over there, be a good boy.' i said to Casper while i went into the shop. I bought 2 waters and 4 bags of sweets, one each for just now to eat and one for later. I got out of the shop and noticed that Casper was no longer against the wall beside the shop.
