A week has passed and Jake was still in the hospital.

He has still been having trouble with his heart and the doctors wanted him to stay for a little while longer to take more tests. I would go to see Jake everyday after school.

It was a tuesday morning.

I got up and put on a white sundress and sandals. I put my hair in a messy bun and natural make up. Today I had to fix things with Macy. She hasn’t talked to me since the day she heard me say I wasn’t friends with her.

I walking into the school searching the halls. I finally found her at her locked all alone. “Macy?” She looked up at me in disgust.

“Macy, I’m so sorry about what I did. I was blinded about the fact that I might have been popular. And I made a mistake. You are an amazing friend that I don’t deserve to have because of what I did to you. But is there any way that you can forgive me?”

I just looked at Macy. She just sat there not saying a word.

She finally started to say something,

“I forgive you, but under one circumstance. You have to promise not to ever chance again for the worst. It shocked me to see my friend like that.”

I was so happy that Macy finally decided to forgive me. She stood up and we gave each other a hug. We walked to first period like the two best friends we were. Before we entered the door to the art class room Macy turned to me,

“So you ready to make this the best f*cken art class ever?!” She was excited.

“O yes I am!’ I said as we walked into the classroom.

After school ended I took the bus to go see Jake. I was so excited because today was going to be the day he got discharged from the hospital.

I walked into the lobby of the hospital to go to the guest check in.

Everything was a routine to me. I signed my name into the book and walked down the hall. I walking into Jake’s room.

He wasn’t there?

Maybe he went to go and get something to eat.

I just waited on the bed for a little while.

Soon one of the nurses came in.

“Who are you?” She asked.

“I’m Amanda Taylor. I’m here to see Jake Jones.”

She looked at me with sadness in her eyes.

“Sweetie I’m so sorry, but Jake passed away this afternoon.”
