One in a Million
*Chapter Eighty-Two; Part Three*
Amber's POV:
"I don't know, Love." All I heard was the microwave beep and him bang some things around. "What's going on out there?" I shouted out to him. Within minutes he was back in the room, carrying two bottle looking things and a guitar.
He climbed into bed with us and handed me the bottles. "Here are some stars and a bottle for Lilli-Bear." He handed me a bottle of formula and her favorite Gerber snack. He started to tune his guitar and I gave him a funny look.
"Midnight snack and a show?"
"Oh, you know it. Anything for my girls." Lilli started to clap her hands together while I cracked open the container of stars; Liam started to play us a song. She really liked the sound of anything musical; I remember how much she liked it when Niall sang and played his guitar for her.
He sang 'More Than This' to us while Lilli ate the stars out of my hands. I felt all of his emotions come flooding out at me. The lyrics were for me and Lilli; I knew he could love me and her more than this. I heard his message loud and clear. He finished off the song and stared into my eyes.
"I think I love you, Liam." Lilli banged her fists against my leg and giggled.
"I love you too, Amber." He leaned in and kissed me softly and I felt like I could do this for the rest of my life. Lilli held onto his top and screamed. "You are so loud, baby girl, and I love that about you." He swooped her up and played superman with her on the bed. I just sat back and watched; maybe Lilli always did have a Dad who cared around.
We sat up and played with Lilli for the rest of the night. We tired her out and she fell asleep inbetween us. I rubbed her temple as she drifted off into a sleep; her tiny fist held onto Liam's finger as he stared down at her in awe.
"I love this." I whispered across the bed to him.
"Love what?"
"This moment. It's like we're a family." His face inched towards Lilli's forehead and planted a gentle kiss.
"That's because we are a family."
