I told my boyfriend today that I couldn't go to his homecoming

I've done that before. I went shopping with my beautiful friend. Absolutely every dress she tried on looked amazing on her. Every dress I tried on looked terrible and hardly fit. I almost started crying in the fitting rooms but I kept looking. Eventually, I found one I surprisingly felt beautiful in. I know that it sucks but you have to keep going. Don't count yourself out. Obviously he thinks your beautiful and wants to show you off if he wants to go to homecoming with you. Hell, I went to homecoming with my sister because nobody else wanted to go with me and I had an amazing time. Keep looking for a dress that makes you feel beautiful. You'll find it. Don't put yourself down. You won't be his "fat date". You'll be his beautiful date and he'll be proud to show you off to everyone. Like rosesarebeautifullikeyou said. "Just be confident". And your "two skinny friends" must be pretty dang skinny if you compare yourself to them! Anywhow,your the perfect size and you're really pretty! You should go!!

Everyone has a distorted way of how they see themselves it seems.
I mean telling by your profile picture you look pretty damn skinny.

You shouldn't let a couple dresses ruin your homecoming dance! Keep Looking you will find a dress that fits your and your personality.. I always have to try on like 50 before finding something thtat i like and suites me!! Once your at the dance it won't matter, the only thing that you'll be thinking about it the good time you'll be having with your boyfriend!!! He obviously KNOWS your beautiul they way you are and will apriciate anything you wear!! If you don't go you will regret it one day, and it will always kill you to know what it would have been like if you went! Please rethink your decition and hope you end up going(:
