One in a
Million
*Chapter
One Hundred &
Twelve; Part
One*
Amber's
POV:
"Oh my God,
you're awake!"
His warm arms embraced
me as I laid in bed,
shocked. "Do you
remember who I
am?" He held my
face in his hands,
stroking my loose hair
with his thumbs.
"Yeah, I know who
you are." I sat up
and kissed his lips,
quickly stopping due to
the pain in my right
arm. "Ow, what
happened?" I
directed my attention
to the big, blue cast
consuming the majority
of my right arm.
"Mrs.
Payne," The nurse
who tore the tube out
of my throat addressed
me. "You were in a
car accident. You were
in a coma for three
days. Your right arm is
broken and you had a
few deep lacerations to
your face." I
lifted my left hand to
my face and winced at
the pain; a row of
stitches lined my
forehead. Then I came
to my senses and
started to panic.
"Where's
Lilli? Is she okay?
What happened to my
daughter?" Liam
had to hold my
shoulders down as I
tried to leave; I had
to get Lilli.
"Ma'ma, your
daughter is fine. She
just needed a few
stitches." She
scribbled in her chart
at the end of my
hospital bed. My eyes
shot up to Liam for a
deeper explaination of
where Lilli was.
"I
called Niall and he
flew out here as fast
as he could. He's
staying at your
parents' house with
her. I've talked to
her every night before
she goes to sleep;
she's alright. I
haven't left this
room since you got
here." He smiled
at me with a tear of
joy running down his
face.
"I
love you so much."
I pulled him into my
fragile body and hugged
him as hard as I could.
He crawled into the bed
with me and laid beside
me. "Is Lilli
going to come see
me?"
"Her
and Niall are coming by
around noon." It
must've been early
morning; Liam's
eyes were black and
blue from lack of
sleep, I assume. My
left hand traced the
bags under his eyes,
letting my fingers
dance over his eyelids.
He really needed to get
some sleep. "I
will, once the doctor
says you're
alright."
