I do agree that the people who aren't really depressed and are just upset about something shouldn't talk about killing themselves because that's a very serious thing.

You're welcome. My best friend was diagnosed with Depression. It stemmed from so many things, I just feel like people shouldn't be so quick to judge who's depressed and who isn't, unless you can read their minds and their feelings then you don't know. Same way that I'll never know how my friend was feeling.

Suicide defiantly needs to be talked about more, people need to know that they have other options, we don't know what someone else goes through, we don't know their thoughts or their feelings, so what we think is nothing or that they can "get over" might not be the same for them because everyone is different, depression can stem from just about anything, is it kinda dumb to be depressed you don't have a boyfriend/girlfriend? Yes but that can become more the longer you're upset, at first it could be because you don't have a boyfriend but then there is an underline problem like maybe low self esteem where you feel like you're not pretty enough or you're fat or worthless and that's why no one wants you, and after awhile that can lead to suicide. The rest of us have no clue why a stranger commits suicide, should we hate on them or tell say they could have just "gotten over it" no. I think it's amazing that Steve put up a suicide prevention, it shows he cares about what people are going through. Some girls or boys use this site as a way to express their depression, because talking about it can help, most feel as if they won't be judged, which sadly isn't true, you're always being judged. Anyone who's thinking of suicide should turn for help. It does get better!

He doesnt mean the ones who ARE suicidal. He means the ATTENTION seeking ones. If someone was SERIOUSLY depressed they wouldnt go around flaunting it like most "depressed" and "suicidal" people on here do. Maybe, you shouldnt assume he's JUST an a/ss. Yeah, he can be at most times, but hes right on this. People are assuming theyre depressed when theyre really just sad. A kind of sad that food/icecream/friends/a boyfriend whatever could fix. Its not serious, deep, real depression.

Cause honestly, if youre "Depressed and suicidal", and you get a boyfriend, and that magically all changes, that was a bulllllll shiiitting lieee.
