Well, as hard as it may seem, I say you should go. You will definitely make new friends, especially room mates (if you have any) and it would be a great experience. You can still stay in touch with your friends now and if you don't like the boarding school you can switch back after the semester or after a year. It would be an amazing experience and I think you should go. But, its your choice.
