"Does that mean you're heartbroken, or in love?" I wrote back.
"I guess a little bit of both. I need to be with the girl I love," he said, referring to his last girlfriend. The message tore me in two.
"Well if you don't want to hang out anymore, that's fine. I know what it's like to be hurt over someone who doesn't want you anymore," I replied.
"Who?" he texted.
I took a deep breath, and I typed in the message box:
"You."
