1D Fanfiction ♥ chapter seventeen
I didn't know
who to believe.
I just sat there, trying to sort out my thoughts in front of Liam.
"Maddy, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to worry you." Liam says.
"It's okay Liam. It's just that, Harry told me you had feelings for me, and then you tell me otherwise, and I'm just really confused." I reply, I shadow casting over my face.
"What's wrong?" A voice says.
Niall is in the doorway, holding a bottle of water with a confused expression.
"I'm just super thirsty! Where did you get the water?" I say, trying to play it off.
"Garage." Niall replies.
I'm happy for an excuse to leave the room, and I watch Niall and Liam make their way to the kitchen through the corner of my eye.
As I walk into the garage, I find that it's very messy.
Old pictures of him and Perrie, an old radio, and a pair of dusty Converses.
I open the mini-fridge, grab the water, and start my nosing.
I start with the pictures of Perrie and Zayn. They look so happy together, it breaks my heart.
I'm still not even sure why they broke up in the first place.
I decide to skip the dusty shoes, and I pick up the old radio.
I switch the dials, and it blares to life.
It sounds like a police radio.
Through the static, I manage to make out a couple words.
Bone chilling words.
"Amb-" the radio blares. 'ominic."
Amber Dominic?
I switch the dials so it becomes clearer.
I strain my ears and I cannot believe what I'm hearing.
"Amber Dominic is currently running down E. Rett Ave., with an unidentified object in hand."
My heart stops. Zayn lives on N. Rett Ave.
I run into the kitchen, feeling the pain in my leg increasing.
I try to catch, my breath, but I can't breathe, I can't speak.
My struggling face catches the group's attention.
"I- I heard on this old police radio... Amber Dominic is near us. We have to go."
Everyone's expressions are blank, except Niall and mine.
"I'll explain it later." Niall says, jumping into action. He starts to close the shades and lock the doors, I join him, running upstairs. Rachel and Lacey follow me, helping me.
"Maddy, what's going on?!" Rachel says.
"It's gonna be alright." I say, giving both of them quick hugs.
As we come downstairs, Louis takes hold of Rachel, trying to protect her.
Zayn and Harry finish off locking all the doors and Niall takes my hand.
"I thought she mistankened us for that Walter Stevens guy." Niall says.
"I guess not." I reply, gripping his hand tighter.
"Please tell us what's going on!" Harry whines.
We explain everything, and at the end Lacey asks, "Why would she want to harm you?"
But I guess she couldl've asked Amber herself.
Because at that moment, Amber Dominic busts down the door...
Holding a gun.
