One in a Million
*Chapter One Hundred & Thirty-Nine; Part Two*
Amber's POV:
~Mid-December~
"Hey, how's it
going?" Eric, who
was sitting on the sofa
in her living room,
stood up to greet us.
Isabella and Eric were
getting real serious
now, and I couldn't
be more happy for her.
I really was hoping
that they'd be
married soon,
actually.
"Why don't you boys chat while Amber and I go make a pot of tea." She grabbed my wrist and we darted into her large kitchen. After filling up her favorite kettle with hot water, she slammed it down on the stovetop and begged me for details. "What are you guys doing?"
"We're going on a date by ourselves. I never get to be alone with Niall, Isabella. I miss him." I whined at her, hopping she'd understand. Like always, though, she had to be the one with the head on her shoulders.
"And where does Liam think you're at?" She began to pour us all tea while giving me a familiar look; it's similar to the guilty look us parents give our children.
"At the cafe." I barely said it loud enough for her to hear me. She wasn't proud of me, but I knew she'd always support anything I did. We carried the mugs out to the guys and chatted with them for a bit. "Alright, well let's get out of here, Nialler."
We said our goodbyes and I promised to pick Lilli up in the morning. Niall and I got into the car and started to drive off to our destination. The air was silent and awkward until Niall broke it with uncertainty. "Are you sure you want this?"
"Of course I do, Niall. I never fell out of love with you." A smile crept onto his face as the car rolled to a stop in the hotel parking lot. He looked over at me, with his blushed cheeks and gave me a sweet kiss. I didn't want him to stop, so when he pulled away, I lightly bit his bottom lip, making him laugh under his breath.
We walked through the parking lot with the snow crunching under our feet. His hand firmly held mine, making sure I wouldn't slip and fall on the icey patches. Once inside the quiet, little hotel, Niall checked us in; the doors of the only opened to us and let us inside.
"So what now?" He teased me, poking my sides. I bit my lip, looking up at him and trying to decide how to answer his question. Before I could process it, his lips came crashing into mine and his chilly fingers started to unbutton my peacoat.
There was no one in the hotel, and if some people were, they were not roaming the hotel. We ran throught he hallways like little kids; banging into the walls and laughing as loudly as we could. We finally got to our room; I stood in front of the door, blocking Niall's way. "What are you going to do about it?"
"You don't want to know." I started to giggle and he leaned in to kiss me for the second time this night. With one hand on my hip and the other trying to blindly open the door, it took us awhile to get in.
Once we were inside, I tossed my purse on the ground and thew myself at Niall, but he held up his index finger to me. "Hold on." He grabbed the 'Do Not Disturb' sign and hung it on the door, before coming back to my reach.
