C h a p t e r 11 .
Addison's P.O.V.

 

A bet? I was just a bet to him?
I wanted to barge in there, and make him explain himself.
Or even better, wake up from this as though it was a nightmare.
But I couldn't. I just stood there as the tears streamed down my face.
Finally, I ran down the hallways, looking for Jos through my blurred vision.
I reached her car and hopped in the passenger seat.
"Addi what's wrong?" Jos questioned when she saw the state that I was in.
I shook my head, and she got the point. I couldn't talk right now.

Jos had finally managed to clam me down.
She made me hot chocolate, and bought us a pizza.
I sighed and I looked up at her with my tear stained eyes.
"I'm just a stupid bet." I mumbled, recalling what Alex had said.
"What?" Jos asked, furrowing her eyebrows.
"I saw Alex with Ethan and Jake. I was going to say goodbye to him, because I knew that I was hanging out with you today.  I heard them talking, and I'm part of some bet. Alex is dating me because of it, he doesn't even like me." I said, my voice barely a whisper.
"THAT JERK I'M GOING TO KILL HIM!" Jos yelled.
I forced a smile. "It's fine Jos, but really, what am I going to do?"
We both sat thinking for a while, when suddenly A devious smile appeared on Jos's face.
"What was the bet exactly?" She asked.
"I'm not entirely sure, but for him to win, I have to be prom queen."
"Pretend you don't know."
"What!?!"
"Pretend you don't know that he's using you.  Act like everything is fine.  You'll end up being prom queen, and then embarass him in front of the whole school. He's trying to make you fall for him, but don't." She told me her plan.
Too late for that.. I thought to myself.
Then she spoke up again,

"Don't fall for him, but make him fall for you."
