I muttered something incoherent under my breath, barely paying attention to what Scarlet had in plan for us next week. I heard Scarlet groaning, as I glanced over at her from the corner of my eyes. I saw her rolling her eyes, as she crossed her arms stubbornly. "Are you listening?" Scarlet snapped, as I sighed. "You know I hate it when I'm ignored!" Scarlet was my best friend, yes, but she was making my head spin right now. So much has been going on lately, with Travis and I not talking anymore, and having to hear Scarlet's constant whining wasn't helping me, either. "Scarlet," I started off with a low groan, "can we not talk about this right now? I'm tired." Scarlet glared at me with her angry blue orbs, before pursing her lips. "Are you really that upset that Travis doesn't find any interest in you anymore?" she growled under her breath. My eyes suddenly snapped open, as if I was never tired to begin with. I was fully awake now, and all of my attention was focused onto my best friend. "What?" I stuttered out. "Are you really asking me that?" Scarlet rolled her eyes. "You know, I'm getting of your whole 'innocent' act." she spat. "It's your fault that Travis doesn't like you anymore. I warned you." My best friend wasn't acting like my best friend. At one point in my life, I was sure that we were distant sisters, but now, everything came crashing down. She was using everything against me. "Scarlet, stop being so-" I started off. "I told you to stay away from Travis!" she screeched. "I told you that he was bad news, and you should've trusted me, Riley! You should've listened to me!" My heart sank, as I stared wide eyed at the girl who was furious in front of me. I took in a deep breath of air, as Scarlet waited for me to say something. "I like him, Scarlet." I whispered, tears filling up in Scarlet's eyes. "Scarlet, I think I love Travis." Scarlet's face immediately paled and hollowed. Her lips quivered, as she shook her head. "You can't." she gritted through her teeth with a shaky voice. "You just can't." My best friend's eyes were filled with pain, anger, and most of all, betrayal. My hands shook by my sides, as I bit on my lower lips. "What are you talking about, Scar?" I asked quietly. "What is it between you and Travis that you've been hiding from me since day one?" Scarlet gulped, as her blue orbs locked into mine. "Riley," she started off, voice cracking, "I slept with Travis." Scarlet's Point of View As soon as Riley left with a saddened look on her face, I knew that I had won. I wiped the fake tears off of my face, smirking. My God, was she guillible.

"Kelsey?" I called. She wasn't quite awake yet. Suddenly, doctors came rushing in, telling me I had to wait outside. I did, for a few hours. One of the doctors finally came out saying, "I understand that you're Kelsey's friend, Aaron?" "Yes," I whispered. He bit his lip. "She woke up, she's fine, but I'm afraid she has long term memory loss." "Are you serious?" I almost shouted. "I'm afraid so." I didn't meet his gaze. I couldn't. I wasn't going to say anything, so he spoke again. "You can go see her if you want, but she doesn't remember anything, not even her mom." I walked in, trembling in horror. I saw her. She looked helpless as she slept. I waited a few hours, until I saw her eyes opening gently again. I expected doctors to run in, rushing me out. Instead, she looked me straight in the eyes, and whispered, "I don't know you, but I like your eyes."
