When I arrived at school the next day, I was
exhausted. I went to bed at about 1 in the morning and then,
couldn't fall asleep. Basically I had got one to two hours of
sleep, I was up thinking of a way to get Mr Parker interested in
me. I found out that Mr Parker and Justin were very good friends
in University, well that just made things a lot harder. I even
tried typing into Google, How to win my teacher
over.Though, I decided I need to get alone with
him.
I needed to get detention.
I had never been one of those students that always got detention
and I didn't want to be.Before Mr Parkers class, I went to
the bathrooms and stayed there for 10 minutes before entering his
class room. I didn't knock, just opened the door and walked
in.
“Nice to see you, Ms Hant. Do
you have a pass?”
“No.”
“Where were you?” he
asked, slowly get angrier.
“Places,” I
shrugged.
“Don't let it happen
again,” Mr Parker said.
Why wasn't he giving me detention?
When you wanted detention, you didn't get it. When you
didn't want detention, you got it. I didn't have anything
else planned so when I went to my seat, I just started talking to
Grace. She hushed me but I continued talking, loudly.
“So, Saturday, do you want to
go to watch a movie?”
“Logan,” she hissed. I
knew she knew what I was doing, she was my best friend, of course
she did. I turned to the person on my left, Joshua. We didn't
talk much but that was the only seat left in which he could sit
next to his friends.
“So, Joshua, what's up?
I'm so bored.”
“Logan, please refrain
yourself from speaking in class. This is your last
warning.”
“I never got a first,” I
retorted but he just ignored me. This wasn't helping, I was
just making him hate me. Shaking my head, I turned to Joshua and
nudged him.
'What?' he mouthed.
“How's your-your
dog?” I asked, loudly and obnoxiously.
“I don't have a
dog,” he replied in a low whisper.
“Oh, your cat?” I
questioned.
“I don't have a cat
either.”
“O-okay. Do you have a
bird?”
“Yes.”
“Oh! Wow, what's its
name?” Joshua just frowned, putting a finger up to his lip
and signalling me to be quiet.
“Ms Hant, detention,” Mr
Parker yelled and all eyes turned to me.
“I'm not coming.”
Now, you're probably thinking, why the hell is she saying
that? Well, I can't do anything in one detention so I needed
more.
“Yes you are,” he said
through gritted teeth.
I never had been one to swear, I hated it, the way it sounded and
this may sound extremely sexist, but coming from a girl it
sounded appalling. “F/ck off,” I responded.
“That's a week
detention,” Mr Parker
boomed.

reminder? Comment.
Teaser: So I got the detention, now what? What do I do when I get
into detention, jump on him and kiss him? Yeah,
no.

Anyway, I'm sure you've heard about what happened in Newtown, Connecticut.
To slightly ease the endless pain the families affected must be going through, my sister started something called "Hands of Hope for Newtown," which is basically just where people cut out a trace of their hands, and write a message on it for the families, and then mail it to my sister, who will connect them all and send them together to Newtown on January 2nd to show our support. I made a few (long) quotes about it, but I'm obviously not "Witty famous" and you are, so I was wondering if you could make a quote about it to encourage people to participate, or mention it in like an author's note or something while including the Facebook link and email I posted in my quote. I, and Newtown, would really appreciate it if you could do this. And also please feel free to make a hand yourself, and tell your friends! I have the mailing address if you want it. Thank you soo much (: and sorry for the spam, but it's for those amazing little Fallen Angels...
