Hi, I’m Nicole Taylor and tomorrow is the first day of my last year in high school. I’m really excited. I am going to curl my long brown hair; it goes half way down my back now that I’ve grown it out. I have a cute purple outfit planned out; it’s a purple blouse, a leather jacket matched with some leather boots and black jeggings. I also have some silver hoop earrings and a little silver heart necklace with my new leather backpack. I live by myself so I’m going to drive myself. My parents died last year, so I had started living with my sister. They left us about a half a million dollars they won in the lottery though. I functioned pretty well by myself even though my sister was with me so she signed the papers so I could live by myself. I had her new husband Sam to convince her when they were engaged. She tried to wait till I was 18 but I pushed her to get married to him since he was such a good guy. So she lives with him about 5 blocks away in a cute little blue house.
Tomorrow is going to be a great day. I have a ton of classes with friends and the best schedule ever. I start at about 8 am with my history class, which is going to be really easy apparently. Then I have business math and science. After lunch I have AP English again with Mr. Parker, he was my teacher last year as well. Then I have student service for the library, which they told me will mostly be study hall and some errands here and there. Then I go home around 2. I’m applying for San Diego State University and am going to major in business. My friends think I’m crazy though. With the parents my parents left me I never actually have to work. But I want to be able to do something because staying home all the time would make me really bored.
My best friends are Bella, Christina, Courtney, Tyler, Jason and Marcus. Courtney and I used to be enemies because I took Bella from her in junior high but we’ve gotten a lot closer in the past few months. Christina and Tyler are off at college and are trying long distance. Jason also went off to college; he got a full scholarship to West Point and will be going into the army right after. I love Jason and we almost dated but there were too many issues for me. Marcus is a good friend, he use to date Courtney, than he dated me. We broke up a few weeks ago. We lasted about 8 months, I really liked him and I know he loves me. When we broke up he said he wasn’t giving up on me.
I’m scared to find out what that means.
