Never Have I Ever
Chapter 5
School was what I dreaded the most.
I had a friend, I guess. But she had HER own friends, so
sometimes I didn't exist to her.
So I sat there, eating my lunch alone.
I should've just ate in the library, I thought.
I glanced over to Aria, laughing and talking with her
friends.
I wish she didn't just notice me on days her friends were
gone.
"Happy thinking?" a voice asked me.
I jumped in my seat as I looked up.
Logan.
"Oh hi." I mumbled.
He pulled out a seat and plopped down.
"Penny for your thoughts?" he asked.
"Just thinkin' of things." I sighed.
"Not happy thoughts then?"
"Not really."
He pushed his sandwich towards me.
"Eat it." he said.
"No thanks." I pushed it back towards him.
"Aw c'mon," he pleaded,"I barely ever see you
eat."
He watches me.
"It's not that I watch you, it's
just,"
Oh god, I'm saying my thoughts aloud.
"Yeah you are." he chuckled.
Shoot.
"Sorry," I muttered, "You're watching
me?"
He mumbled something under his breath.
"What?"
"Nothing." he took a sip of his milk.
"No, tell me." I demanded.
"If you let me take you out." he replied.
"It's much more complicated than that.."
"Well why don't you just tell me? Make it
easier."
"You wouldn't get it."
I sighed louder.
No one ever gets it.
