Life Quote #6604773
all quotes · life · people · thought · love ·

You know what I think we are most afraid of? Not knowing. Not

You know what I think
we are most afraid of?

Not knowing.
Not knowing whether it’s all really worth it.
Not knowing if you should give up or keep fighting.
Not knowing why you do things you do.
Not knowing the purpose.

It’s like when you’re little
and you touch the stove and get burned,
because you didn’t really know that it was hot.

Not knowing has always hurt us,
from the very beginning.

I completely get where you're coming from. But just think, what if you knew? What if you knew it was worth fighting for? Would you still fight just as much? Because you already know the outcome. Or many factors could be related back to actually knowing the outcome.

True, it's probably a blessing that we don't know everything before it happens. I don't think she's saying we should know it all necessarily, just that not knowing scares us and causes a lot of anxiety from worrying or trying to figure it all out.
