A 5 year old... understanding self harming? What has the world come too ?! Not being offensive... It's just sad. 5 year olds shouldn't even know the concept of that. :(
I get the message you were going for here but yikes.. I think it's enough for your cousin just to understand that nobody's perfect, without her slicing up her Barbies. That's a little much for a 5 year old I would say.
when i first llooked a t this quote i was like awww but you have to realize why i say this people are so worried about their appearence now in days like being fat and have short or long hair they just worry ,worry worry, so when she said not even barbie thats like saying even people who you may assume look better than you have problems they see within themselves !
I think the point of this quote is to let people know that even the beautiful, seemingly ''perfect'' people really aren't as perfect as we think. We don't always think about how the pretty people can have problems, but sometimes they do. They're just as human as the rest of us, and no one's immune to pain. That's the way I look at it. (:
I agree. Like, you don't see a pretty girl and go "omg. She's perfect. *grabs blade* NOT ANYMORE!" Like, believing Barbie's not perfect is one thing but actually going ahead and marking her wrists?
its amazing that she has this deep a thought process...like seriously lots of teenagers and adults dont understand that.
but shes 5, she shouldn't know about self harming yet.
She knows about my self-harm. The day after I cut once, I picked her up from nursery and she saw my fresh cuts and made me promise not to do it again. Her older sister also self harms, so age just doesnt matter, sorry.
Anyway, that is really sweet. <3
THAT IS F.U.C.KING MESSED UP!
Not meaning to be rude but like
wut.
but shes 5, she shouldn't know about self harming yet.
