The best
thing in the world is knowing you saved a
life.
One of my best friends was talking to me about
committing suicide. Every day she would tell me what was going on
in her life. The problems she faced with her family, friends,
school, her own self image, anything and everything.
She was texting me and telling me that she was literally one step
away from actually going through with it. She lives like a half
hour away from me so there was nothing i could do. We dont go to
school together so if she did do it, i would have no way of knowing
unless it was one the news or something. I was absolutely terrified
and worried sick.
She was saying goodbye, telling me to remember all the good times
we've had and that she loves me and that everything was going
to be okay and i'll be fine without her.
I dont remember the last time i have cried so hard.
I tried saying everything i could possibly think of to try to talk
her out of it, nothing seemed to work.
But last night, i finally got through to her. she's not doing
it. she's in this world to live another day, and many more to
come.
I saved this girl's life and i had never felt that great and
relieved before in my life.
Moral of this story:
Anyone can save someone from themself. You may think you don't
have the power to help but everyone has that power. The littlest
thing might make someone rethink things and not do something they
will regret or end their life.
thanks to anyone who actually read
this, it made me feel so great i just had to share it
somehow.
