Chapter 4( part one)

That one word alone was enough was enough to send me into temporary shock .Farm . Than again , it was North Carolina what else could they do . After i finished unpacking putting everything in it's rightful spot  i met up with grandma as instructed . 
"Well , it took you long enough . Now come on now darlin ' you're wasting daylight"She said in her tone . I'm starting to become acclumated to her tone .Her  southern ,detremined , demanding , happy , peppy tone . Irritating yet at the same to time loveable it is quite contradicting .However , at her comment i just rolled my eyes and followed her out the back door . It led to this huge lawn with crops ,plain grass and a huge farm . It went on for miles . It was shared by my grandmothers property and the huge property right next door and went all the way back . I thought it was odd that even though grandmothers  property was so small her backyard went further , not even including the neighbors propety with their share of farm . Overall it was huge  . 
"RAYMON ! RAYMON !"My grandmother called seemingly to the other man who looked roughly the same age as my grandmother who was currently planting .However , he dropped everything for grandma . He walked as fast as he could right over to us . It was so cute  , it defintley looked like he had a thing for her . 
"Howdy "He said sweat trickling at the top of his forehead .
"Nice weather for planting out this week , hot today rain tomorrow . It'll be great . "My grandma said enthusiastically . 
"Got that right , and is this the little lady that's going to me working with us this summer ?"He asked .
WHAT?WORKING ON A FARM ?OH NO NO NO .
"That's right "My grandma said nodding my head . 
"Grandma , you never mentioned this . I could never work on a farm .I mean i wouldn't know how . I'm not prepared . I don't know how to use farming tools , take care of animals i don't even have any apperal for farming .Nobody ever mentioned anything about farming . I would screw everything up . Over all it would not give good results for anybody .I mean i would love to help , but i think it would be better for everyone if i crawled up to a book in the bedroom . "I rambled on . 
"Relax , You can and will work on a farm don't sass me . I still have some of your moms old farm clothes that would fit you perfectly you guys were around the same size .As for not knowing anything you're going to be taught by Daniel . Raymon's lovley son who is around your age !I'm sure you won't mind working with him . All the ladies love him he's sweet as sugar ,and is quite handsome . He'll help you every step of the way . "Grandma argued .
She could be so stubborn . The last thing i wanted to do was spend my summer on a hot farm going in mud , planting and working with animals . I'd rather isolate in my room pouring away my sorrow reading books like usual . I would say it's better that way , but in a way that takes part to my unhealthy addiction . Also , my mother working on a farm ?Since when ?I guess that's just another thing she didn't find neccisary to tell me not that that's a shock anyway . 
"You know what !I'll have him come out here to meet you right now !"The old man who's name apperantly is Raymon said just as enthusiastically as my grandmother . They were a  match made in heaven both irritatingly happy all the time . When the man left i watched as grandma stare at his retreating back as he walked away . 
"Hey grandma , what ever happened to grandpa ?"I asked afraid of what the awnser might be .
"I divorced him a long time ago , i felt trapped as if he felt he had total control over me and i hated it . Never got married since and don't plan on it . "She explained stubbornly . 
"Well you , and raymon there seem to be very close . "I commented .
"We are working partners ,and good friends nothing more nothing less don't you go off with any crazy ideas "She said pointing at me with her finger as if trying to look as an authority figure , but in reality all she was looking was cute and i wanted to pich her cheeks . However , whatever she was doing immediately stopped with a smile plastered on her face hands at side when Raymon came back with a boy behind him . He looked around my age , if not a tad older extremely attractive . He was rather tall certainly by passing his grandfather and straight yet rugged dark brown hair that looked perfectly messed . A tan complexion most likely a farmers tan Ha , how ironic . Hazel eyes that were just peircing into my blue ones .You could tell he had a nice body from his tight grey shirt which gave you a lovley view of his abs and chest . No wonder so many girls like him . Who would have ever thought . I internally rolled my eyes at teh conversation going on in my head . 
"Taylor?"My grandmother asked as i snapped out of my daze i suppose i was in .
"Yeah "I responded whipping my head back to look at her . 
"This "She guestered to the boy "Is daniel , starting tomorrow he will be teaching you what you need to know about , maintaining the animals , planting , and maintaining the property itself . I advice you pay attention to the boy he knows what he's doing "My grandmother said with a tight nod giving him a smile .
In which he smiled back  giving a view of his perfect teeth chuckling  .Was everything about this boy perfect?I hate perfect . I despise perfect . 
"Farm school . Exciting , well if you excuse me i'm going to go to my room and enjoy literature before i won't have a chance to do that in broad daylight anymore . "I said grudglingly turning around on my heel walking into the house  to the bedroom . In which i could here my grandmother talking about me to Daniel . Did she not know there were windows in this bedroom or did she not care ?I'm just going to assume the latter .
