Chapter Forty Two
♦ Elli's P.O.V ♦
We had escaped as soon as the cops had entered.I grabbed my wig and ran to the hospital faking to be a nurse.Sirens rang as a doctor rushed in with a patient.In the distant cops spoke in low voices as old people stared at them with one crooked eye.The smell of the antispetics hit my nose strongly as one of the doctors called me over.
"Nurse Julie get the shot prepared !"Dr.Deloaski commanded.
"Yes doctor."I timidly walked away to gather the medicine.
As I walked in the hospital lab I told one of the chemists to prepare the shot.In a second he handed me the shot as I calmly and quietly walked back to the patient.People were shocked as in the distant a baby cried.Another person's shadow stood against the hospital wall as a dirty faced Jessamine walked in with a child carried in her arms who was sleeping.
"Where is she?"She practically shouted at the doctor.
"She's in room 209."The doctor said patiently as he rushed to the patient.All of the nurses buzzed around each patient as I served lunch to 5 patients then walked towards Dr.Deloaski.
I said in a quiet voice,"Sir do you need help?"
"Yes can you get Allison McCall's medical information and family to call on?"He asked.
"Yes sir."I said trying to hide the shock in my face.Quickly I walked to the metal cabinet which kept patient records.I saw Alli's grandma's phone number and dialed it.
After a minute a voicemail spoke up."Hey whoever this is leave a message and don't disturb my phone with 24 f***ing messages.Thanks!"
I hung up but a minute later she called back,"Hello who is this?"
"Hi Ms.McCall but this is a call from Rosewood Hospital to inform that your grandaughter Allison McCall is in surgery so would you please come in and fill in some papers?"I calmly said.
Alli's dumb grandma replied,"I... I'll be there in five minutes."She hung up as I worried.
What would happen if Allison survived?She could tell the cops everything?To get some backup I called Savannah.
Unfortunaly her voicemail spoke up,"Hey b*****es this is Savannah and leave me a f****ing message.Uh bye."
I hung up trying to call everyone but gave up.Briskly I walked back to the doctor with the file and informed him that her grandma was coming.
"Where is my granddaughter Allison?I f***** demand to know where she is."An old grandma spoke up.The hospital went quiet and suddenly the lights became too bright.
I went outside and grabbed the angry grandma away.She was tensed up as the doctor walked up to her.
His face was grim and full of tension as he spoke up,"I'm sorry Ms.McCall but Allison is in coma."
