I agree with this. I feel like people should use that as motivation NOT to kill themselves; that should be their inspiration. But I've never been through that, so maybe I'd feel differently if I had.

People don't commit suicide for one comment. That's the thing. You wouldn't know if someone is in pain. Even if you saw their scars or recent cuts, you still wouldn't understand. They could be cutting 100 times in a night and saying that could literally push them over the edge.

Don't ever dare say someone is weak because they killed themselves. They will have been fighting for a long time - months, maybe years against it. You either beat your suicidal thoughts or die trying.
Just don't. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever under any circumstances tell someone to kill themselves. You don't know the affect unless you've been there. I have and it honestly makes me sick to my stomach if anyone ever jokes about suicide.

I didn't tell someone to "kill themselve", did I? No, I'm pretty sure I didn't. You make a really good point. Maybe that's why when people say things to me, I act like it doesn't affect me. I am affected and people don't know what I go through. I don't know what anyone else goes through either. I never posted a quote that said, "go ahead and kill yourself, I dare you", did I? Nope.

Um, what do you know about how strong people are? Do you know what they've been putting up with. No. Do you know how strong they've had to be? No. Someone saying that could be the last straw. After everything that persons been through, you saying that makes them finally end their life. You don't know what they've been through. It is not pathetic never say that.
