According to BBC the 12th doctor was fired half an hour because people were complaining he was too old and not attractive but I could be wrong

I don't think so, I mean I can't find news of that anywhere else. A few people have complained, but the complaining now is nothing compared to the backlash when Matt Smith was chosen.
