The problem with
school isn't the students or anything like that.
The problem with school is that they expect everyone to
excel in everything. That's just stupid. People are
amazing at certain things and horrible at other ones.
Honestly, it's like:
"Oh, you're not good in math? Well, who cares about
how good you are in art! You need to be amazing at math!
Don't you realize how stupid you are? Who cares that you can
play 24 instruments? You aren't good at this one
thing, therefore, you're stupid! You won't get far in
life!"
It can even be the other way around!
You could be the top of your class in math, but (oh no!)
you're just barely passing in History! Obviously you are a
very unintelligent creature and need to be punished harshly for
this horrific crime!
No. You don't need to know everything. Stop
stressing people out who are already having a really hard
f.ucking time just getting through
life.

Thanks, though. I'm happy many people also think that I'm correct *wears pride hat*
I love learning, but I don't like being forced and pressured to be amazing at it.
I mean, what's the point if you don't even /try/? If it doesn't work out, great for us. If it does, great for us. Just let us try.
And just to be clear, I get that having knowledge is good, and math isn't so bad, but you don't need to be a super genius to 'get somewhere in life'.
I don't know. I actually don't.
It sucks though because, since I get good grades in other subjects, I'm always pushed to be good in math or to always get better in the other subjects.
I passed all my other classes with high grades, but since I just barely passed math with a 62% I obviously need to be shouted out!
I don't really pay attention in school so I am sort of crap. When I am older I want to be a guitarist and i constantly get told that i have to pick a "realistic career choice" The school system is like telling a fish to climb a tree and then making it feel stupid when it cant do it
I get that we need to learn things. Honestly, I love knowledge and learning things, but I also hate it, you get me? I like to take things at my own pace, thank you very much.
I just don't get why we have to know /everything/ even though our own teachers don't. It seriously stresses me out when I can't do my homework or figure something out because it's like we've all been tricked into thinking if we don't know a certain thing, we're stupid. It's horrible.
Honestly, school says they're 'preparing us for the real world' but if they actually were, they'd show us how to pay off bills and stuff like that.
