People who cut aren't attention seekers, it's the people who feel the need to publicly announce they cut as if it's a good thing are the attention seekers.

By making a 'quote', saying that we're worshipped for being depressed, and tagging it with 'attentionseekers'. You need to realize that people have real problems, and not everyone is attention seeking.
I said people were worshipped for quiting cutting, did you read the right quote? I think you need to realise that everybody has problems, and just because you don't cut doesn't mean your life is better than those who cut, some people cut over really stupid reasons( but all reasons are stupid in my opinion).
Again, you don't know my life or what I go through everyday, so how would you know if I've never felt that low? And, that's the thing, that extra attention they get makes them want to do it more, they think hey, people care when I hurt myself, so i'm going to continue cutting because it feels good when I get attention.
I don't know your life but obviously you've never felt low enough to do it because you haven't. And I get what you mean. But people are encouraging of people when they don't cut, and disappointing of people when they do. Honestly, I hate the feeling of guilt if I cut because I know I will disappoint people. And that's helped me stay 2 months clean. So giving them that extra attention does help.
okay, some people do go through hell, just as bad as people who cut or even worse without cutting! Soo, just because someone doesn't cut doesn't mean they badly hurt!
I do agree with you but saying "Obviously you've never felt low enough to do it because you haven't" makes absolutely no sense. Every single person in the world, all 7 billion of us, go through in our lives. It doesn't mean all of us have to self harm. And this is coming from someone who was a cutter for a while because of things in my own life, and managed to give up after realising how pointless it is. Just because someone feels really sad or angry or lonely (etc) doesn't mean they have to self harm. Some people try to channel it into something else. And I think that's the point that Eric is making: Just because someone doesn't have self-harm scars, doesn't mean they don't go through just as much pain as people who do have scars.
You clearly don't understand. We never get praised. It is hard to recover from cutting. It is an addiction. You don't get it.

Lyf is so hurd, i hav a family dat buys my cloths foodz and stuffs for me and i hav a roof ovr my head. but my bf just dumpd me so im jus gonna throw my lyf away bcuz its soo bad
You know nothing about my life, so how do you know what privileges I have and what kind of friends I have? I could be just as bad as anybody who cuts or worse. Humour is an opinion.
A lot of people have respect for you, they just never say anything or they see you as this joking person. I just hate that whenever someone puts out their story and they have done wrong they get "famous" off that...???

I know I was just joking. Yeah, like i've said, if you have any kind of mental illness, depression or whatever, don't go posting it online. Nobody here is going to help you. In my opinion, if you post it online it honestly can't be that serious, or you're really f/cked up for using it to gain likes and popularity.
Exactly. I mean a few people may care but most people won't. People like that or like the people that post pictures saying they're ugly and just wanting people to tell them they're pretty
