I was thinking about adding a new
feature to make Witty a little more fun. I thought it might
be entertaining to have contests created by users to come up with
the funniest joke, most inspirational story, coolest format or
whatever. To enter each contest you'd tag your quote
with a specific tag for that contest (like contestlamepun or
contestcoolformat) and then people could browse by that tag and
vote for their favorites by faving the quotes. Just an
idea. Sound like fun?

But I agree with Rajsonkar. Maybe, Steve, you could make the contests on a whole seperate tab type thing? Make it a bit more exclusive? So people with a kazillion followers don't just get a bunch of favorites on their stuff, people possibly not even realizing that the quote is meant for a contest in the first place. I know I don't pay attention at all to the tags. The idea itself though sounds okay. But otherwise I think it sounds like a fun idea. :)
and I also think a lot of people will only fave the well-known users' quotes, and not give newest members a chance... maybe , i don't know haha
