Books
I really don’t like it when some people say that the people who read books are boring people, that writers are boring people.
It bothers me when they say that the most creative people on earth are boring.
I don’t know about you, but I really don’t know anyone who can change my whole perspective on life in different combinations of only 26 letters.
Not only that, books and poems have been around since 2000BC, and for people to still find something to write about is astonishing, the ideas are endless.
Books are also magical.
They take you to a whole different world, they play games with your emotions, they make you smile, they bring you anger and pain, and give you the kind of joy that real life can’t.
They make you insane, in a good way and sometimes in a bad way, but that’s what a good book does.
But in society, people who do sports are considered as 'cool', and those who read are the nerds, the ones who need to ‘get a life’.
However, in sports, you play a game, a game that if you practice long enough, you can nail it. And then what? Maybe you’ve got a crappy position in a game, so you try harder, until you move up. But then when you’ve got to the top, then what? You continue playing that same old game?
Over and over and over and over again.
Every weekday, or every weekend, or maybe just once a week.
But you’re going to get bored of it.
Sports have already been created, and there’s rules that if you break, you’re done with and there’s only so much you can do, there are limits.
But books… books are endless, they can literally create a new world within your mind and there are no limits to your imagination.
So I have a question.
What do you think about books?

Books and music are the things that keep me going. they allow me to escape reality and become lost in my own world. For this, I thank authors and musicians.

I remember vaguely as a kid when my teacher used to tell me 'I'm surprised you haven't fell into a hole or banged your head into a lamppost yet' and 'STUDY MATHS, NOT BOOKS!' I've got a pretty crap bipolar family mess, so in books I dot have to be me, Or live my life. I can time out from all the drama, stress and homework and just... Live the characters, I guess. It's a pretty fun feeling.

Hmm, I love to torture myself with them. I wonder sometimes if I just have a slightly masochistic side because I always read really sad heartbreaking books that make me cry and feel all of these emotions.

Books are a separate world to me. They're beautiful and can take me anywhere they want to. It's an escape from this life for me. But don't think badly about sports either, hun. I don't wanna hate. I really don't, but sports are an escape for many people as well. It just depends on who you are

i guess they both have hidden messages, you just have to be really imaginative to read between the lines.... sidenote my room smells llike candles... well the brilliant smoke after you blow out candles on a birthday cake....weird...

uhhmmm.... well my favourite books are those in the 'Fallen series', they're romantic fiction about angels and other such things. They're by Lauren Kate, and she's a brilliant writer :) what about you? :D
