I remember once, when I was probably about 8 or 9, my cousin needed a new wheelchair and the insurance wouldn't help buy a new one because the old one was perfectly fine. But the problem was he could hardly fit in it anymore. So me, his little sister, and another cousin took the wheelchair outside and beat the crap out of it. He couldn't fit in it anyway so he couldn't go anywhere, and the insurance had to buy a new one for him. I'm glad he's finally out of the wheelchair. Love you Devon, you saved a lot of lives I just wish it meant yours was longer. RIP
At my eighth grade graduation it was a kid in a wheelchair's turn to go across the stage. We were not supposed to applaud until the end, we were in the middle of the alphabet. When he got his diploma the entire eighth grade class (about 240 kids) , along with everyone's families (almost 1000 people), gave this kid a standing ovation. People didn't even clap at the end as hard as they did for him. I can honestly say that that was the most inpirational thing i have ever witnessed.
