Hey judgemental asshat,

You don't need to go posting stereotypical and demeaning "quotes" like this one. Drinking, having , smoking, not doing homework, and doing drugs does NOT MAKE ANYONE A DISAPPOINTMENT, all-round or not. All those things are just simple materialistical things that people deemed would be the standards on deciding to befriend someone. Yes some people do have addictions in life, that some people can't control their intake of some substance, but that is life. Every single person in this world is different. There are different lifestyles and so there are, of course, different struggles in life that people have to face. We all have are own conflicts, issues, and problems to face. For some people its an illness they must battle, for others its other people (bullies if you will) and there are those who struggle with substance abuse. But every person who takes a shot of alcohol, or a drag from a cigarette, or a hit of some weed doesn't mean they are going to become some abusive addict wherer they're only thought is how they are going to get their next dose. I know people who smoke weed, can drink like a dehydrated man in the desert, and smoke like two packs a day but are not disappointments to their families. Granted those folks probably will not live to be a hundred and three, but we are all going to die anyways, they are just doing it on their own terms.
Okay that being said there is absolutely nothing remotely wrong with not doing any of that. Living a life filled with sober fun is okay and completely acceptable, but that doesn't mean you can look down on others just because thy live their life differently. Its just like dissing on someone because they decided to write their notes in pink pen instead of with a pencil. Its absurd and pointless, because no matter what you say, you honestly can't do anything about them. Because it is their notes, and they are the ones who are going to have read and study from them not you.

Please re-read the quote. All I'm saying is that you don't NEED to do these things to be happy aka these aren't the ONLY route to happiness. This is aimed at 'asshats' who think you can't be happy or have fun without doing this stuff.

Of course those aren't the only routes to happiness, but the way you worded it came across like a judgemental asshat and maybe I did to. Next time you're trying to write something like this be a bit more clearer, because honestly I can read that quote another fifty times and still have it come across as one of those judgements coming from someone who doesn't even remotely understand what she's poking at. Drugs, drinking, and being disappointments are big topics which is why when writing about it you must make sure that what you are trying to get across, gets across. Otherwise all types of unwanted attention is called upon the article and such. I am sorry that I took such offense at the quote, but read carefully or not I still see that quote as demeaning.

So maybe next time when dealing with such sensitive topics reread what you've written and try to think from a different prospective. Because if you don't want to deal with the bullshit, than you can't just assume everyone thinks like you. As well I'll also reread quotes to try and depict the true meaning behind the words.

Actually, I think I'm at liberty to write about what I want how I want. I'm not gonna censor my words to make you happy - sorry, but I'm not a people pleaser. And I'm a big girl, so I can deal with people on the internet having a different opinion from mine. I don't know why you think I'm assuming that everyone thinks like me, tbh, because I haven't given you any indication of that.

Well I tend to treat people how they act. And im sorry if you think that I was trying to tell you what to do. Its called a suggestion, which can be either ignored or not. I don't want you to make me happy, never the intention but if your going to write something like this its going to get attention. All types of it and well it got mine. Sorry if when reading your opinion I felt the need to defend my own, but if you don't want any type of feed back write this type of stuff in your diary and not where any random passerby can come up and start to nit pick it.
