Why do we kill people who kill people to show them that killing

Why do we kill people who kill people to show them that killing people is wrong?
and in doing so, arent you the SAME as them?

Then I suppose killing isn't strictly wrong. It's wrong if done unjustly. If a man killed everyone he saw (as some people do), wouldn't you be saving lives by killing him?

Anyway, in war, countries slaughter one another, isn't that kind of an emulation of the 'death penalty'? Excpet for millions? That's 'justified'.

it is, however both countries, in most cases, are in it together

Yes, but it hasmuch larger and dangerous consequences,so it is 'the death penalty' most worth considering.

yes but you need to understand the fact that no one is forced to join the army.

People were in a way in the first and second world war.
And people are being forced in third world countries around the world. We, and countries like us, actually count as a teeny percentage of the world.

yes i understand that, however in 3rd world countries you either die in the army while protecting those you love or die by being blown up, shot, in a blast etc.

Not really. Third world countries are massive. You can choose to hide in a quiet corner and ignore the few people who die around you, or you can go to the front lines and protect the nation you love, the people you, love, and the pride that you covet.

Really? That's like saying the sunflower and the sunflower seed are two different things. They're not. They both come from each other. Or the chicken and the egg example. They're not completely different things, they're linked in the closed way imaginable.
