Listen, real talk, sexting is risky and a good way to possibly fast-track your reputation into a blaze of glory. Sending risqué pictures is even worse. Once you send that out, whoever's receiving it can do whatever they want with it. Don't believe that stuff about SnapChat, that it really disappears in 10 seconds. Have you heard of screenshots? Certain language in texts and emails should be reserved for someone you truly trust and care about, i.e. not some guy you're trying to hook or impress. I completely trust my fiancé, but I still don't send him any skimpy pictures, mainly because you never know who's messing with his phone and who may go through his pictures. Sexting is risky. You may feel excited while your doing it, but if you present yourself in the wrong way to the wrong person, you may end up regretting it later.

There's no need, even when you're older, to make yourself seem overly sexual. It's certainly not attractive in young, high-school age girls. It doesn't make you grown, it make you seem immature and silly. Besides, you should never, NEVER, EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER sacrifice your dignity just to get some boy excited. If he wants to treat you as a sexual object in the getting-to-know-you stage, he's probably a little jerk anyways.

Consider the image you put out about yourself when you send "sexts." Consider who you're sending it to, how well you know them, what kind of person they are and what they could do with the language and the photos you send them. Whatever you decide to do with this info, just keep in mind that your reputation is a valuable thing and that, unless you have some contacts in the CIA that can erase all the embarrassing and nasty things you've ever said over the web, it's a hard thing to recover. Just stay classy.
