Okay I don't want this to stand "between us" anymore and I already regret doing this, but I really like your work. However, my quotes have never been jocked and yes, I did get the inspiration from that one quote of yours to use a filter.
Now you can believe me or not believe me, but I am not someone who would simply steal someones work without saying that it wasn't mine and mention the original creator (take away deleting source)
Thanks...I guess?
But, the issue was never that you stole or that you didn't code it yourself. I can see that you coded it yourself but the point is that, aesthetically, it looked like my format and I could tell it was inspired by one of my formats...I can spot my format style from a mile away.
The problem was that you were claiming that you came up with the idea of that format by yourself, out of nowhere, when in reality you didn't.
If you're going to attempt to remake my format, then inspiration credit is really /the least/ you could give and that's what this whole quote touches on...that though you coded it, you still didn't think of the idea all on your own.
(edit) Or you could even just use my format base coding and just edit it (while keeping all the credit intact.) But basing it off of my format and saying it's your idea, that you saw it in your own head in your own ideas, is a biiiiiit of a reach.
Well but I only got inspired with the filter. The rest was 100% my own. The overlapping thing was also something I came up with on my own without even seeing that you did that as well. It was probably an unlucky coincidence. But having a look on my older quotes, you can also see that I have used the shadow things tons of times before.
I won't say that the filter was my idea but everything else was.
I really don't want anything to stand between us, but I won't say somethig I actually didn't do and if I should ever actually want to use one of your quotes, but change something in the code (even if it was something big) I will mention that in the code.
The point is make up your own ideas. If you coded it by yourself but took inspiration (an idea) from someone else then you credit them.
I think you mean /layout/ and even if you edited it "far away" from the original you should still keep credit, but you can get a congrats for doing the right thing?
Big thanks to the people I mentioned in the gray areas, (http://www.wittyprofiles.com/q/6795393) and abokist for helping me produce this quote with actual quotes from real people :-)
