You're drowning in shallow water and people are screaming
at you to stand up, to just stand up. But you can't and
they don't understand how much it hurts to try. You're
paralysed from the waist down and every attempt at shifting is
pure agonising pain. They keep screaming at you and you scream
back, forcing out salt water along with the words "I
fu.cking
can't!". You've tried, you've tried so hard,
and for so long, but nothing works. Your legs are numb from
trying, they are limp like a newborns, and your head is barely
treading water. You wonder why none of these screaming people
have waded into the water to help you. After all; it is only
waist deep.
