It’s 4 am in the morning
You should be in the bed with him
Instead
You’re waking every morning  but it’s not with him
Your phone beeps
You should be on the phone with him
Instead
You’re pouring out your heart
To the kind lady at the hotline
Your life should make sense by now
Instead
You’re running in circles.
His love
Should have enlightened you,
Instead
It consumes you at night
Blinding you with uncertainty.
 You should be in his arms
Instead
You’re  writing this horrid poem ..
