Convinced myself to start writing again; (Tues @11:34 pm)

Addiction .

Everyones addicted to something,
Something to rid their pain;
Some get to dangerous levels,
Letting their brain run a life consuming game.
With shaking nervous fingers,
Some crave for a taunting kiss;
So some hold a razor to their skin,
Their pain is taken out on their wrist.
Others take a less bloody road,
A little three inch orange &' white stick;
It releases so much stress with one breath,
Its nicotines life taking trick.
Vodka, tequila, whats your poison?
Others wash their pain away with sips;
Drinking bottle after bottle,
Alcoholic breath staining their lips.
For most pain can be replaced by a temporary substance,
But addiction will make it secretly continue;
Is this cut, breath, or shot your last?
Is whatever it is worth letting others lose you?
