   I looked in the mirror
what do I see?
a young, small girl
she’s looking at me.
she has a face
of an innocent child
her expression is kind
her eyes soft and mild
I look even deeper
and what do I find?
a girl who isn’t afraid
to speak her mind.
a heart beating true
choosing right things to do
standing up for the team
as she follows her dreams.
so before you give this girl
a full down inspection
you have to look deeper then
her mirror reflection.
