Pieces of Her
The blueprints of a small town girl,
>>just trying on life<<
reaches into the bag of fabrics,
is it pretty,
is it bold,
or just plain ugly?
yet, she doesn’t care
a piece of fabric is just that,
it all depends on what she makes out of it.
grabs thread, a needle
flies like the wind, wild and free
creating what her mind desires,
and hopes it makes top line.
Fitting was never her strong point
but a piece of fabric is just that,
change it,
remodel it,
she’ll make it work for her
because every piece has a strong point
something special and something
utterly unique.
it’s all her style,
it’s all her soul,
it’s all me.
