I just don't get the point of bump

don't get the point of bumperstickers.Don't they cause accidents?Okay,so you're driving on the highway and the car in front of you has this flashy,colorful bumpersticker.You try to read it,and BAM!You hit a tree.Just saying,they serve no purpose.
