Drabble #14 - And The Horses Ran
Home
As most often happens in chaotic times, the animals knew first.
Far before the Humans were boarding up their windows and
stocking up on rations and artillery, the animals were making
their own preparations. When not a single face was left without
wet tear tracks, animals had already come to accept their
losses. They were ready and suited. Suited and rooted and sick
of us. So when the world died away quietly, the animals simply
watched the confusing disharmony. There's such an
indescribable beauty in chaos, in not only the colors that go
well together, but the ones that don't.
