"My cousin is six.

I was talking to him the other day and I said

'What do you want to be when you're older?'

He looked at me and went 'A unicorn.'

And I was like 'Why is that?'

'So I can stab people with my head.'"

so do you like him, or do you like-like him?

Me: *whispering* If you're stupid say "what".
          Friend: What?
          Me: OH MAN.
          Me: OH
          Me: JESUS CHRIST.
Me: I GOT YOU SOOOO GOOD.
          Me: THAT WAS AWESOME.
Me: I'VE NEVER LAUGHED THIS HARD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.
          Me: IN YOUR FACE.

If you ever wonder why

I hate how people blame Barbie for the self esteem issues of some girls.
I played with Barbie's my whole childhood and never once was I like, "Hey, Barbie is so pretty. I wish I looked like her. Time to go to extreme measures to look like a FREAKING DOLL."

so you know how when it's raining, you get all these worms floating in the puddles and drowning? when i was a kid, when i walked to school on rainy days, i would stop and pick up every single worm out of the puddles and put them on dry ground so they wouldn't die. every single one. i got told off for being late every time, but in my mind the lives of the worms were more important than whatever punishment i got.

I have childhood memories

that I am not 100% sure actually happened...

or if I dreamed them.

I really do not know...

My friends and I started the first day of kindergarten
with sweaty palms and runs in our tights
and Dillon got bashful when he saw me get on the bus
and hid his head in the seat.
And Michelle and I played dress up for hours in her mother's closet
talking about what it would be like to act like

the big kids.

My friends and I started the first day of middle school
with sweaty palms and new jeans
and Dillon and I kissed under the jungle gym last year
but he liked another girl more than me.
And Michelle kissed all of her big brother's friends
and tried to be just like

the big kids.

My friends and I started the first day of high school
with sweaty palms and big text books
and Dillon has been dating Hannah for two months
and gives me look in the hallway.
And it seems like Michelle has been trying to play dress up in her
mother's closet again
and all the boys look at her and she loves it
and it seems like no one will take you seriously unless

you're a big kid.

My friends and I said goodbye on the last day of Senior Year
with fond memories and our graduation caps
and Dillon took his own life last year
because Hannah forgot they were dating for a night.
And Michelle stays home mostly now
because her baby needs her more than she needs her degree
and it scares me now
because we are

the big kids.
