It all started when I tripped; falling backwards, with no one behind me to catch me (or so I believed). My heart flip flopped; a small flood of panic entering my chest at the feeling of falling. God, I hated the feeling of falling; why do I have to be a klutz? But then I felt your arms under mine, catching me before I hit the ground. I didn't even know you; definitely had no idea what your name was. All I'd ever said to you was "watch, I'm gonna fall" (and I was right). And I thank you for being there, because that would have been a nasty fall.

And then so many things happened, so very fast: I learned your name, recieved your number (which I still have yet to call) and we talked. We talked about so much for what seemed like so long. And I fell in love. We began to date and it was so great. We held hands; you were my "man". But then I was "clingy" and you became distant.

Our story ended similarly to the way it began: with me falling. But this time, I ended up spwarled on my back on the cold, hard concerete, no warm arms to fall back on and my body broken as badly as my heart.
