The Witty Runaway
Chapter 2
I walked in my front door to my parents sitting in a mannerly
fashion on the couch.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked, stopping in my
tracks.
"Why hasn't Easton been over in a while?" Did you
break up?" my mom started questioning.
"You better not have, we liked him." my father joined
in.
"Guys, it's alright. He's just had a couple extra
training sessions for football. He's picking me up
tonight." I explained.
My mom stood up with a big smile, "Good. Go get
ready."
As she said that my phone buzzed.
"See, that's probably him." I smiled.
When I made it to my room, I pulled out my phone.
The message read: Rusty: Hey, beautiful.
Coming to the club tonight?
I laughed.
Rusty is my latest thing.
I mean, I wouldn't say we're dating yet, but we have
something going on.
I wrote back: Of course. High school
parties are lame.
If you didn't figure it out yet, Rusty is 21.
I went and hopped into the shower.
When I got out, I had a text that said: Can't wait. ;)
I laughed, and
straightened my hair.
Then I pulled out black pumps, a black pencil skirt, and a pink
blouse and put them on.
Of course, I left a couple extra buttons undone.
Just as I was adding lip gloss I heard something hit my
window.
I looked out and Easton was throwing rocks out my window.
I opened my window, and yelled "Cheesy!"
We both laughed and I made my way down to his car.
I kissed my mom and dad on the way out.
I ran and jumped in Easton's car.
Easton was wearing a purple button down shirt, and tan
shorts.
"Dang, we're looking hot." He said, gently hitting
my arm.
We both laughed and pulled out of my driveway.
