Dusk Quotes

In my life I was given an entire age to learn to love myself - an entire lifetime settled between dusk to dawn - and with it I did nothing but count the ways I was unworthy of love. When suddenly, I was at the twilight, and I had become very, very scared of reaching the horizon.

Crepuscule

I live at dusk
Where light is fading into dark
And the hues of the world
Are being drained around me;
That point where the battle
Between day and night
Light and dark
Hope and despair
Is at its turning point
Where the battle is either
Won or lost
And it is determined
If they come out.
I stay there
In that place right before
The thoughts start
And the tears fall
Where the incubus linger
Around the edges
But never move my hand;
In the crucial battle
Where the sun touches
My skin as a protective barrier
But the demons still stratch me
And whisper in my ear.
The balancing point
Between depression and death
This is where I am.

There is a time.
When the dark is coming but the
light is still fighting to live.
And the world falls silent.
Except for the trees.
They sing.
And you stand there.
And you are the only one left alive.
The only one still standing.
And you smile.
Because at that moment
something is worth smiling about.
