Best Military Quotes This Year

A little voice came on the phone,

said, "Daddy, when you coming home?"

He said the first thing that came to his mind

I'm already there.

 Take a look around,

I'm the sunshine in your hair

I'm the shadow on the ground

I'm the whisper in the wind

I'm your imaginary friend

And I know I'm in your prayers

Oh, I'm already there.

I will only say this once. I should not have to, and will not repeat myself.
If you ever in anyway whatsoever disrespect someone in the military, or their family, I will personally escort you and sign you up for the military. Those men and women have more guts and courage than you probably ever will, and they deserve all of your respect. I can't count on one hand how many family members I have out their risking their lives for us, and if you have the nerve to say something bad about them, we're going to have a major problem. I do not care if you are against war, you respect people that are out there fighting for your freedom.

Ted was born on September 25th, 1965 in a very poor part of Lowell, Massachusetts. He had 5 older siblings. His father was a WW2 veteran and an alcoholic. Ted's father passed away when he was about 6. His older sister passed away when he was a young age, too. Ted's mother began dating a man named Jim, and was often never home.

Ted went to a typical high school. But, upon realizing that he most likely would not go to college because he didn't have the money, he transfered to a tech school. There he studied business. He graduated high school at only 17 and, after being kicked out of his house, he joined the Air Force.

He was first stationed in Witchita, Kansas. There he met a woman named Kris. When the two were both 21, they married. The Air Force brought the couple many places. After Kansas, they lived in Okinawa, Japan, Sacramento, California, and Abilene, Texas. While in Texas, after years of trying, Ted's wife gave birth to twins--one boy and one girl.

The family then moved to Anchorage, Alaska. While there, Ted was sent off to Italy because of the Kosovo War. There he loaded planes for NATO, etc. He came back and, a few years after, the family was sent to New Jersey.

Ted was in the Air Force for 21 years. He was a senior master sergeant** when he retired.
Promotion to senior master sergeant is the most difficult enlisted promotion to attain in the Air Force. It is the first enlisted grade to which results of a central promotion board are the primary factor in selection for promotion. Usually, less than ten percent of eligible master sergeants are selected for promotion to senior master sergeant in most years.

The family then moved from New Jersey to Oro Valley, Arizona because his wife had a job offer there. After living there for only a year, the family moved to Massachusetts, where they have lived for the past 8 years. He currently works for a company that aids the military.

Happy Father's Day, dad.
This is an actual radio conversation of a US naval ship with Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October 1995. Radio conversation released by the chief of naval operations, 10.10.1995.

Canadians:
Please divert your course 15 defrees to the south to avoid a collision.
Americans: Reommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the north to avoid a collision.
Canadians: Negative. You will have to divert your course 15 degrees to the south to avoid a collision.
Americans: This is the captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.
Canadians: No, I say again, you divert YOUR course.
Americans: This is the Aircraft Carrier US LINCOLN, the second largest ship in the United States Atalantic Fleet. We are accompanied with three Destroyers, three Cruisers and numerous support vessels. I DEMAND that you change our course 15 degrees north. I say again, that's one-five degrees north, or counter measures will e undertaken to ensure the safety of this ship.
Canadians: This is a lighthouse. Your call

All America jokes aside, the 4th of July really is my favorite holiday. Why?
It isn't because I get to hang out at the lake. It isn't because I get to watch fireworks. It's not because I get to see my aunt get competely wasted. It's not because underaged drinking is suddenly acceptable.
The reason I love the 4th of July is because of what it represents. It represents us gaining freedom. It represents those who help us protect our freedom. The people currently serving in the military and have served in the military to help us keep our freedom. Those who have died so that we have freedom.
I'd like to thank my dad for having served in the military. I'd like to thank my mom for having seved. I'd like to thank my Aunt DeeAnn for having served. I'd like to thank her husband Steve for currently surving. I'd like to thank my Uncle Danny for having served. I'd like to thank my Grandpa on my mom's side for serving. I'd like to thank my dad's dad (my grandfather who I never knew) for serving. I'd like to thank my Grandpa Jim (my dad's stepfather) for serving. I'd like to thank Matt for having served. I'd like to thank Rocky for serving. I'd like to thank my 5th grade math teacher's son for giving his life so that we remain free.
Please, take a moment to thank those who are currently suring and who have served.
