I miss the old witty.
Haha, wow. This place looks
different. I joined Witty Profiles in 2008 and was on every day
for about 3 years. I came back just to see how things are going
in here. This place turned out to be the one thing all us old
Wittians feared it would become. I feel like i signed onto
Facebook.
It makes me sad that
this site didnt last. Here is where I made some of my very
close friends. Where I would come if I had problems and
needed to talk. We were litteraly like one big messed up
disfunctional family with a cat loving father. I grew up on this
site and it phsically and emotionally hurts to see so many if not
everyone gone. One of the biggest things for me is that this is
where frammingmathew made his legacy. Every year after he passed we
would post something in honor of him and promise we would never
forget the amazing things he did and how many lives he saved... but
here witty is now. I just wanted to thank you steve for so much. If
it wasnt for witty i would be a completely different person. It
still has an impact on me and has taught me so much. I love you
steve and every witty user who probably isnt on here anymore deeply
and truly from the bottom of my heart.

turns out, when i split up with my ex, he started to date my best friend,
then secretly came on here to vent how much he loved me and wanted me back.
then realise that there is no witty family anymore, that witty has changed so much,
that its no longer a place to vent, just to be funny & have the best top quotes, thats not what
witty used to be about, i miss the old witty.

theory as to why Witty is apparently less popular now:
So, Witty got most of its regular users around 2011, right? Around then, most of them were 14, 15, 16. We're almost in 2014 now, meaning about three years have past. So, should those users have stayed, their current ages would be 17, 18, or 19. That's quite a difference from the people we were dealing with originally. They have changed and grown, and they probably don't want to still be with the website as they were when they were 14, so they started contributing to this website less and less frequently until they eventually became inactive. Now, if Witty didn't have a steady stream of newcomers and the above was happening, what would be the product? This, I reckon.

if you told me a year ago what Witty has turned into, i wouldnt
have believed you. this place USED to be a family top quotes were
favorited by thousands there was no bullying quotes werent from
tumblr it was different. it used to be like home. now look at it.
